What we cover
STEM at CMR means students actually build robots, write working code, design parts in CAD, and print them on 3D printers. Every skill is applied, not theoretical. Students graduate from our programmes with a portfolio of completed projects and measurable technical capability.
Location
Our facility is at 195 Wairau Road, Wairau Valley, Auckland 0627 — close to Takapuna, Milford, Glenfield, Albany, and accessible from across the North Shore.

Results
If you are comparing STEM providers on the North Shore, these are the outcomes and track record behind our programme.
We've won the NZ FTC national title four seasons running - sustained success, not a one-off result.
Students are coached against the standards needed for high-pressure events, international exposure, and judged award environments.
Coaching covers robot build quality, programming, electronics, documentation, and competition strategy rather than only match-day performance.
FAQ
Our STEM programmes combine robotics, programming (Python and Java), mechanical engineering, electronics, and 3D printing/CAD. Students work on real engineering challenges rather than isolated exercises, so every skill reinforces the others.
Yes. School STEM is often broad and introductory. CMR programmes are specialist, structured, and outcome-focused — students build physical robots, write real code, and compete nationally in FIRST Tech Challenge. The depth of learning is significantly higher.
Our programmes are designed for students aged 10 and up. We recommend starting with a free discussion to find the best starting point for your child's age and experience.
Yes. We run intensive STEM holiday camps during school breaks at our Wairau Valley facility. Contact us for current dates and availability.
